Pick a deadline.
Mine is Tuesday afternoon because that is our next shopping trip.
Lay out some tools you know you’ll need and have on hand.

I LOVE post-its for this.
Post-it notes are my friend because I can write a step down on them and then toss them in the trash when I’ve completed my step. It’s gratifying.
And get busy.
One small task, or not so small, but at least manageable in a few days, pick it and get it done.
Pick something that will help you with your “happy”.
Pick something that won’t get destroyed in one day.
Dishes would be an example of a bad task to choose for this.
Well, in my house anyway, because as soon as I have them done, more dirty dishes magically appear. For this task we are looking for something manageable that will also make a lasting difference.
