Today was something…
When I saw a meme that asked me to tell what I did and add “like a boss” to the end of it, I might have gone a little off kilter:
“I’m on one of those carnival swings at the moment… you know the ones that you sit on because it entices you with the memories of your childhood swinging every so nicely with the sun warming your skin and breeze of wind making your hair flutter around your face as you go back and forth…
AND THEN with a jerk, your feet lift off the ground … WAY off the ground and you get distracted for a moment by the lights of your town all blinking and tiny stretched out in front of you…
AND THEN you realize you’ve started to move in a circle and it confuses your brain for just a moment because you were lost in your childhood and the twinkling lights and all…
AND THEN it starts going faster and faster then you realize that this must be payback for all the water molecules you made feel just like this as a kid when you spun around with water in a bucket proving the whole centrifuge thing was true.
And pretty soon you realize that you are no longer a kid, this is no longer fun, you are wondering what the hell you were thinking and or doing the second before you sat on that swing and started to pray to all mighty God – you know the one that helped Moses part the red sea and flooded the whole earth in a single blink of an eye – that you would not actually lose the funnel cake and fresh squeezed lemonade you knew you shouldn’t have eaten in the first place.
That ^^^ that is what my business brought my way today.
No, I am not actually sitting on the swing but I kinda wish I was at this point….
And THAT ^^^^ is what I’m doing like a FREAKING BOSS right now!”
It was hectic, it was head turning, it was busy,
I am not as organized as I could be,
“organization” is not my friend.
I’m excited about some things that are going on around here.
I’m excited about how school is going.
I’m excited about my business.
I’m excited about a trip coming up.
I’m excited about some things I have been learning
and in turn teaching.
I AM excited about life!
This day, all that I am learning got the better of me
and I found myself going from one project to the next,
effectively giving myself figurative whiplash.
So, what’s the point?
Well, the point is that done is better than perfect.
I am done waiting around until I know everything perfectly.
I’m going for it.
And days like this will happen.
And then I will get back on track.
LIKE A BOSS!
Now, in the comments, tell me what YOU did today
and add “like a boss” to the end of it.
