Be Strong and of Good Courage, how Gods word brought me to happy this week

It has been quite a time at my house.
It’s not an excuse, it’s just a fact.
Some weeks are busier than others.
In some season of my life, I assume it will slow down.
Then I’ll be bored, I suppose.
Be strong and of good courage.

At any rate, I had something happen today.
I love it when God speaks so loudly there is no mistaking it.

Last year I started a Biblical studies class. It’s a 4-year program.
That is quite a commitment for me.
The idea that there were some things
that were repeated over and over and that little tiny
differences in words really mattered amazed me.
Things I might have over-looked.

Getting finished up with one school year and starting another,
we still have some things left undone.
I was viewing as my failure.
It’s hard to think you’ve taken on a HUGE responsibility like homeschooling
and thinking you might be failing.
So I started praying. A lot.
I started with praying the 40 promises for my children.
and I am doing the 30 days of praying for my homeschool challenge.
because you can’t have too much prayer.

shareablefaith-031Ok, so there were some verses that just lined up.
Between the classes,
and the two different prayer lists.

Be Strong and of Good Courage
January 24, 2016

Be Strong and of Good CourageBe Strong and of Good Courage11 Times that phrase is in the bible. 11 times.
Several times between last year and this
it has been laid straight out in front of my eyes.
The above 3 pictures are from different journals of mine at different times.
Twice in the last two days.
The verses bring me to tears.
God is telling me to be strong,
of good courage (as opposed to just reckless I assume),
and in most of those verses, it also says not to be afraid
because God will NOT fail me.

shareablefaith-114Praying over my children, and over my homeschool.
It’s been an undertaking, and a blessing.
Sometimes God smacks you upside the head.
I’ve shared those times.
Sometimes He whispers.
Sometimes He shouts from the mountain tops.
I’m listening.

The last months have been crazy good and crazy bad and everything in between.
When I started to focus on God’s word.
And on my tasks.
And repeating a phrase that has stuck,
“Christ, take the good things I am working on and
and bring them to perfection”
I have had more peace,
and been so much happier.

What season are you in?
What helps you to focus?
